CBD Oil and Chemo-Induced Neuropathy
Neuropathy (damaged or dysfunctional nerves) can result from antineoplastic drug treatment (medication used to treat cancer). Neuropathy is a common side effect of chemo treatment. Chemo-induced neuropathy can result in weakened muscles, numbness, tingling in the extremities (CIPN), and pain. Cancer patients may get some relief from the symptoms of chemo-induced neuropathy with CBD. Although there is no method of preventing CIPN and other chemo-induced symptoms, CBD is a natural and safe way to help manage the pain of neuropathy.
